History

Bischoff Aerospace, Inc, (BAI) was founded by Michael Bischoff in 2009. The core of BAI has always been our customers. By engaging our EMPLOYEES as customers, we have created with them a culture of empowerment, flexibility, quality of service delivery that brings out urgency overall satisfaction. Our core value has always been pride. Michael Bischoff wanted to build something our customers were PROUD of.

It all started from a 2,500 square foot building and an amazing team. With the right team and partnerships, BAI carried out the following mission statement. "Lowering our customers cost of ownership". Michael Bischoff quickly realized that operating a successful business wasn’t just about our customers. Our employees were the foundation. Our employees needed to be treated with the same values as our customers.

  • 2006

    Bischoff Aero, LLC (BAL) was formed as a JT8D engine and parts trading.

  • 2007

    BAL, opens 2,500 sq. ft. facility in Medley, FL with a single 10 ton gantry fordisassembling JT8D and RB211 engines for parts.

  • 2008

    BAL, acquires building next door and doubles their space to 5,000 sq. ft.

  • 2009

    Bischoff Aerospace, Inc (BAI) was formed at the request of our customers. BAL partnership was ended after an amazing 3 years and BAI takes flight on new journey into turbine engine maintenance.

  • 2010

    BAI moves business from Medley to Hialeah, FL and doubles their space into 10,000sq. ft. facility.

  • 2011

    BAI begins FAA 145 certified repair station process.

  • 2012

    BAI acquires FAA 145 certification and ‘takes flight’ repairing JT8D and RB211 seriespowerplant engines.

  • 2013

    BAI acquires building next door and gains an additional 5,000 sq. ft. dedicated to its quality team for carrying out detail inspections.

  • 2014

    BAI team grows quickly. Behind the new facility an abandoned border collie male dog was heard crying in a dumpster and was adopted by the team and named ‘JT’ in honor of the Pratt & Whitney JT8D powerplant engine.

  • 2015

    BAI doubles square footage once again and expands into available building next door dedicated to JT8D and RB211 turbine engine component repairs totaling 30,000 sq. ft.

  • 2016

    BAI acquires IAE V2500 engine tooling and expands capabilities.

  • 2017

    BAI acquires TAESL (AA-RR partnership) tooling, equipment and inventory to further expand its capabilities into the RB211 powerplant engine.

  • 2018

    BAI rolls out its new GTA and creates partnerships with multiple foreign operators to provide them with RB211 engine support.

  • 2019

    BAI purchases largest inventory ‘lot’ of new and overhauled material, to date, and support our customers engine repairs and help lower their cost of ownership. Imports 10,40′ containers from Europe.

  • 2020

    BAI purchases ex American Airlines Boeing 757, N938UW, powered by Rolls RoyceRB211-535E4 engines as the world is put to a standstill with the COVID-19 pandemic. Our dedication to treat our employees as customers has created a culture we are proud of as we were able to continue our support in the industry without closing our doors and increasing production during this difficult time. Our large inventory purchase during the previous year allowed us to not suffer from supply chain issues.

  • 2021

    BAI moves to its own ‘stand-alone’ building. With a total square footage of 60,000 sq. ft., BAI looks forward to investing into its customers and continue to provide products they are proud of.

  • 2022

    BAI opens ‘profit sharing’ account for its employees with yearly distribution’s.

  • 2023

    BAI has its biggest year yet. Purchases high speed blade tip grinder to expand capabilities. Largest equipment purchase to date. Purchases Ex-Argentina ‘Presidential’, a VIP Boeing 757 powered by Rolls Royce RB211-535E4 engines and continues to grow out its engine and component shop divisions.

ScanBox – Quality control is one of our industries most critical elements. With the recent purchase and implementation of our Zeiss GOM ‘ScanBox’, our QC department is able to quickly inspect piece parts with high precision automation. This provides more consistent results and creates a 3d model of each part that can be sent directly to customers for making dispositions during their engine/parts shop visit (‘Virtual Table Top Inspection’).Providing complete transparency for effective results.
